Avoidable filing risks

Common DV Lottery mistakes can be prevented before submission.

Selection is random, but the entry itself is not casual paperwork. Names, photos, family members, country logic, and confirmation records all need careful handling.

Mistake checklist

What we check before an official DV entry is submitted.

Duplicate entries

More than one complete entry for the same person can create disqualification risk. We ask whether you or another service already submitted.

Missing spouse or children

Spouse and eligible child details must be reviewed carefully. Missing required family members can create serious problems.

Photo problems

Glasses, shadows, old photos, busy backgrounds, incorrect crop, or digitally altered images can make a photo unsafe to use.

Name mismatch

Names should match passport or official ID details. We look for spelling, order, middle-name, and transliteration issues.

Wrong country logic

Country of birth, spouse chargeability, and parent chargeability should not be guessed from citizenship or residence.

Lost confirmation number

After submission, the confirmation number must be stored safely because it is needed to check results later.
